SMUGGLER — KAÇAKÇI (Demo)

Istanbul, 1994. One night. One truck. One job.

SMUGGLER is a story-driven, third-person stealth-action game built with Unreal Engine 5.

Haydarpaşa port, midnight. Kemal Bey has a job for you: get the goods out before the morning call to prayer. Guards with flashlights, locked gates, a truck whose key hangs on the chief's belt — and when it goes loud, the city's police on your tail.

This free demo is Chapter 1 of a much larger story. Later chapters take the smuggler across the world map: new cities, new jobs, and new people who want something from you.

In the demo

• Two jobs: Cargo Run (six crates of cigarettes) and Refugee Run (four people hidden in a container)
• Stealth: sneak, crouch, hide, take guards down from behind, throw stones to distract them
• Sense: hold V to see guards through walls — their color tells you what they intend
• Guards that think: they react to a fallen friend, take cover, flank and set ambushes
• When it goes wrong: suppressed Makarov and M16, breakable glass, lamps and railings
• The escape: a truck, a police chase, shooting from the cab and cinematic cutscenes
• Dynamic soundtrack — or play without music for pure, tense ambience
• Turkish and English

Install & updates

Install with the itch.io app to get automatic updates — only the changed parts are downloaded. Windows 10/11 64-bit, DirectX 12 graphics card, about 3.5 GB of disk space.

Known issue: on some systems the game can freeze shortly after start (GPU hang). Restarting fixes it — we are working on it.
